The artisans behind the renewal
Specializing in tuckpointing and masonry repair locally — a single, unwavering standard of quality, whether the job is a chimney or a full facade.
Our history
A tradition worth maintaining, a name worth trusting
The origins of Mount Prospect begin locally, founded by a mason who learned his trade on Chicago's historic greystones and brick two-flats — structures whose brickwork has lasted generations because the original work was done right. That commitment to excellence became our company's core principle.
Our approach to every project is methodical: we first analyze the existing mortar for a precise match, photograph and record all areas of wear, and provide the homeowner with a detailed written plan before any work starts. After Local crews and local assignments, most of our new projects still come from client recommendations.
Currently, our teams renew brick, stone, and chimney structures throughout Mount Prospect and nearby communities — from hundred-year-old bungalows to mid-century ranches — and each task, large or small, is backed by our guarantee on craftsmanship.

Historic-mortar specialization
Skilled in the assessment and replication of lime-based mortars for older structures, ensuring repairs adhere and age like the original masonry without causing harm.
Full-time direct-hire crews
We hire and supervise our own masons. No revolving subcontractors. Mount Prospect homeowners get one accountable crew and a written written estimate.
In-house craftsmen
Our masons are full-time staff, not temporary laborers. The team working on your home has been trained by us, to our exacting specifications.
Our craftsmen
Artisans, not salespeople
The individuals listed here are the ones who sign your proposal — and whose skill is applied to your masonry.
Marcus Rivera
Founder & Owner
He trained on Chicago greystone renovations before establishing Mount Prospect locally. He still personally approves every mortar sample and visits each ongoing project site weekly.
Dale Hutchins
Production Manager
Three decades of experience restoring brick and stone throughout the Mount Prospect area. Dale coordinates all crews, examines active projects, and gives final approval on each job before the job is closed out.
Andre Walker
Crew Lead
He directs our primary repointing team and instructs every new mason in joint detailing, finishing techniques, and curing protocols. If your brick was restored within the last five years, Andre probably oversaw it.
